What will my Dentures feel like?
New Dentures can feel awkward for a few weeks but your body will soon adjust. If your Dentures feel loose, the muscles of your cheek and tongue should learn to keep them in place. It is not unusual to experience minor irritation or soreness, and you may find that your saliva flow temporarily increases, but if irritation or soreness persists, be sure to consult your CDT. Any problems you experience should diminish over time but if they don't, you can speak to your CDT at your follow-up appointment(s) and regular reviews.
